Today we will talk about the top 10 largest construction projects in the world. Mankind has always aspired to leave a mark on this planet. Apparently, people have the need to build huge projects. What is the reason behind it? Could it be that by building something so majestic, subconsciously people are trying to deal with their own mortality? Or is it just the ego that needs some kind of confirmation for all to see and admire? Maybe a little of both.
Anyway, people have to be grateful, because that has spawned some of the greatest projects, but also the most beautiful, for the planet. This list highlights the 10 largest construction projects in the world. This list was used the World Atlas site, Popular Mechanic, Quora, and Dienamics selected based on how prominent they were on different lists of the most impressive constructions.
Other websites, such as the BBC, which provided more detailed information about a particular object, were consulted. In the end, it just seemed fair to determine different categories and find the largest building for each of them. To make this list more exciting, it is also considered how they affect the lives of people with their existence. Another criterion was how likely it is that people can visit them someday if they have not already visited.

It is officially the largest power station in the world. Completed in 2008, even if the first idea were conceived about 90 years before their realization. Facts provided interesting information about this construction. It is located in Sandouping, Hubei, China, preventing the Yangtze River from flowing naturally. The total cost was $37 billion, and they say it was worth every penny.
